Fun For All!
The Kingston Artist Soapbox Derby is celebrating 30 years in 2025!

History

For the first 16 years, the Derby was a labor of love created by the owners of the Donskoj & Company Gallery which sat at the top of the Broadway hill. For the years that followed, the Derby had many volunteer organizers, all with the same vision as the originators. The Derby now lives under the umbrella of Hudson Valley Community Productions a 501c3 nonprofit and is run by John Blue, Nancy Donskoj, Cara Gentry, Bob Johnson, Michael DiPleco and Erik Richards, the Derby Directors of Chaos! They are joined by a fabulous group of volunteers who are committed to keeping the derby rolling!
